About this Group
The CIC Heads of Acquisitions group includes senior staff responsible for management of acquisition functions for all formats within CIC member libraries. CIC member libraries may be represented by more than one representative due to varying organizational models and responsibilities within an organization. The group consults on a broad array of acquisition-related issues that include, but are not limited to, best practices, new technologies, emerging standards, vendor performance, and staffing. The group meets twice a year at each conference of the American Library Association and communicates via the group's global e-mail list.
