Strategic Areas of Focus for CIC International Activity

CIC SIOs co-sponsored with the World Universities Network (WUN): a conference entitled "Realising the global university - Developing effective international strategies in a rapidly changing world" in London, UK on November 15, 2007. http://www.globalhe.org/

"Promoting International Student Access: External Challenges and Internal Barriers " was held at the Ohio State University on December 15 - 16, 2005. The conference was sponsored by the CIC Senior International Officers (SIOs) and the CIC Directors of International Students and Scholar Offices.

Alliances for Expanded Studies in Overseas Programs (AESOP)
189 students from 11 CIC universities took advantage of the expanded opportunities to study abroad through AESOP in 2005-2006. Also, 98 students from 12 CIC universities participated in five CIC Study Abroad programs to Quebec, Guanajuato and the Dominican Republic during the 2005-2006 academic year.

170 students from 9 CIC universities took advantage of the expanded opportunities to study abroad through AESOP in 2004-2005. Also, 104 students from 12 CIC universities participated in five CIC Study Abroad programs to Quebec, Guanajuato and the Dominican Republic during the 2004-2005 academic year.
