2:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m. Workable Tools and Techniques - Jim Self, University of Virginia - Introduction to the basic tools and techniques of assessment.
3:00 p.m. - 3:15 p.m. Break (In the foyer)
3:15 p.m. - 4:15 p.m. Major Studies and Initiatives - Bob Burger, University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign - Overview and synthesis of major national studies and initiatives.
4:15 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. Sustainable, Integrated Assessment - Danuta Nitecki, Yale University - New tools and assessment methods from industry, government, university program assessment, organizational assessment, etc.

A. Balanced Scorecard Approach - Facilitated by Jim Self, University of Virginia

B. Using Assessment to Defend a Branch Library - Facilitated by Sally Kalin and Laura Probst, Penn State University

C. CSEQ (College Student Experience Questionnaire) Project to Assess Learning Outcomes - Facilitated by Nan Seamans, Virginia Tech

D. Packaging and Presenting Library Assessment Information to University Administration, Accreditation Agencies, etc. - Facilitated by Janice Simmons-Welburn, University of Iowa

10:30 a.m. - 11:30 a.m. Second round of breakout sessions (repeat topics from the first round)
11:30 a.m. to Noon Wrap up - What can we take away with us back to our campuses? How to make library assessment sustainable and integrated at our universities?
